Meet the new addition

This is Remi.  She is Grace's fancy rat that she got for Christmas.  Potty trained in 2 days and full of personality.

Ka-booom ! Erik and Dad playing

Erik saw a Mythbuster's episode where they built a wooden cannon.  Here is his version, shooting 40 grains of Goex blackpowder.  What a blast !

Erik's Fall-2007 Hunting Pics

Erik had to feed the family this year since Dad was unable to put meat in the freezer.  The snowy picture was taken in Clare, MI in Dec-2007 (5° F).  The deer on the rack was taken by Erik with a blackpowder muzzleloader in Sep-2007.

Motocross on Frozen Cuba Lake

Today we had fun on Cuba Lake. It was my friend Jay's Birthday and we spent it having fun on 9 inch thick ice. Jay can do a good wheely on ice, so I trusted Emilia and Sofia to his care. He later told the girls they were the first girls ever to do a wheely with him. They we prety excited. The ice was plowed to the size of a football field with different size tracks as you got close to the center. Four 15 foot tracks. Tires on the bikes are studded to grip the ice. Click on the movies!

Enjoy!

Zach and I hike behind the dam

Rushford Lake is a man made lake. The dam is 185 feet high and the river on the other side is spectacular. Zach and I walked up the river today and were able to walk on the ice and enjoy nature.

This is an old picture of the dam.
